Thief

To steal a kiss
This my soul craves
Engaged by invisible hands
Demanding acquiescence
When you look at me.
Thieving is not
What it would be
If you were willing --
Still inside I fear
The penalty.

Commentary:

This poem was written as a way to break the ice with someone who I - obviously - wanted to kiss. I recited it to him at the end of a date. I got kissed.

For future reference, ladies, it wouldn't have taken a poem. If you ever want to kiss a man, just ask him to kiss you - or tell him. I guarantee, 99% of the time, he'll comply.
